Flatside Wilderness Area

This was a short hike into Flatside Wilderness Area. I entered off of Winona Forest Drive east of White Oak Mountain near mile marker 173, I think, on the Ouachita Trail. The trail was mot used for entry, just crossed there. A ridge was followed in the middle of the wilderness to the west and then the peak of White Oak Mountain was climbed revealing some nice views. The valley in this area was not terribly scenic from ground level. Unfortunately...the old days of logging here have left way to many pine trees which dominate the view. The day was partly cloudy and around 60 degrees. Miles hiked around 3.8.
